Our team consist of young professionals who are committed to making IMPACT right from the local communities and our Success as a youth organization depend on our team. Below are some of the people who make up Team YiSHDA.

Joseph Emmanuel Yaba



Joseph Emmanuel Yaba is the CEO/Founder of Youth Initiative for Sustainable Human Development in Africa (YiSHDA) and has accumulated over ten years’ experience in the non-profit sector.

Joseph is a visionary young leader with extensive experience in creating and directing a non-profit and community-based organization/project and has also demonstrated leadership abilities among youths. In 2013, he was a Youth Delegate to the Inter-generational Dialogue between Heads of State in Africa and represented Nigeria at the Africa Youth Forum as part of the 50th Anniversary of African Unity. He was also a Panelist at the 2nd Edition of the Commonwealth Youth Program-Discovering Young Leaders Program (DYLP) where he held a discussion with participants across Africa and the Middle East.

In, 2014, he was one of four (4) Nigerian selected by the Israeli’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel) to participate in an International Training Program on “Policies, Strategies and Support Systems for Rural Revitalization”. He was also awarded a Membership Status by the Weitz Centre for Sustainable Development, Rehovot, Israel for becoming a Promoter of The Rehovot Approach of Integrated Development and also a Member in the Weitz Centre Friends Network, Israel.

Agbara Moses

Program & Communications Manager


Moses is a cofounder of Youth Initiative for Sustainable Human Development in Africa and has over five years of intense experience working in the non-profit sector. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Minna in Nigeria and is a Certified Associate in Project Management.

As the Project Manager for the Beyond Access Project in Nigeria, he has put in tremendous efforts in changing the face of Public Libraries in Northern Nigeria, repositioning them for better community service delivery through effective guidance for heads of libraries, as well as designing, and implementing economic opportunity training centred around business start-ups, and employability for young people, and internally displaced persons in the F.C.T.

Moses developed with great resilience a strong project coordination and implementation skills that entailed focused thinking and paying attention to details. He is currently instrumental in building and repositioning YiSHDA for strategic programing targeted at young people with a drive to impact his society positively

Benjamin Chibundu

Administrative & Finance Officer


Benjamin Chibundu is a graduate of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Development Studies (2011-2015). Prior to his employment as the administrative and finance officer at Youth Initiative for Sustainable Human Development in Africa, Benjamin had interned for Webtek Computer International Limited as an office assistant, and was also a clerical staff in the open registry office of Uruan Local Government Council in Akwa Ibom State.

Benjamin Chibundu is a professional administrator who is certified in both Human Resource Management and Project Management from Dexter and Hero's Consulting, has competent skills ranging from Budget Planning and Implementation, Accuracy and Accountability to competence in documentation. He utilizes his wealth of experience in achieving a very productive and stress free office environment, one which is structured to meet the diverse demands of a dynamic formal setting.

Agaecheta Precious Ezinne

Program Officer


Precious studied Economics from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka where she graduated with second class upper honours. She is a self-motivated and detail oriented person with experience in project design, implementation and appraisal.

With her proficiency in public speaking, she anchors sessions on capacity development for young people and spearheads YISHDA’s “why girls matter”campaign. Precious is instrumental in streamlining and improving processes, enhancing productivity, and implementing business solutions.

As YiSHDA’s program officer, she successfully implemented the maiden edition of the School Environmental Program (SEP) in 2018 leading a team of two staff and ten secondary school teachers. She is a certified Project Management Professional as well as a Level 1, 2 and 3 Health Safety and Environment Expert.

Dauda Pius Hyams

Program Officer


Pius is a selfless youth leader, a considerate person full of courage, who loves challenges ensuring they are tackled. He earned a National Certificate in Education in Biochemistry from the Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya, and is currently studying Bachelors of Science (ED) Biology with the National Open University of Nigeria, Kaduna Centre.

He has been involved in the implementations of Capacity Building Programs, Monitoring and Evaluation of YiSHDA’s Program in Kaduna and environs, and was a Program Support Staff for the Beyond Access Nigeria project, tasked with providing technical support to the Program Manager, and ensuring the general coordination of the Beyond Access project, driving reformation of Public Libraries in the North-West region of Nigeria.

Pius, having built passion for empowering the rights of young persons and children and fostering a conducive environment for their education and growth, he led a team of advocates under YouthHub Africa led initiative called CRIBAP to advocate for the passage into law and executive assent of the Kaduna State Child Protection and Welfare Law, which currently awaits enforcement. He is passionate about issues that bother on the wellbeing and development of young people in Nigeria especially in Kaduna State and enjoys serving humanity.

Hope Garba



Hope Garba is a passion driven young mind, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Kaduna State University and a certified Project Manager. She is passionate about positive development initiatives for young minds especially young girls, and hence, very delighted to be on the YISHDA team. Hope has experience working with other international NGOs like WHO, USAID in Maternal and Child Survival Programs. In her free time, she loves to travel, play the violin and read sci-fi novels. She is happily married to Alex Demshemino.

Muhammad Awwal Abubakar



Muhammad Awwal Abubakar is an entrepreneur aspiring to make positive social impact on communities with focus on women and youths through agriculture. He has over the past 3 years been engaged in volunteerism with YiSHDA to implement and coordinate programs in Kaduna along with other team members. Muhammad holds a B.SC in political science from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and is enthusiastic about building resilient communities through skill acquisition and empowerment initiatives.
