ICT4Development

Information and Communication Technologies for Development refers to the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the fields of socioeconomic development and playing vital role in bringing about desired change in every sector of life. Today, everyone needs a basic understanding of ICT and how to make productive use of it, just to be good students, workers and citizens. Teaching people how to be competent basic users of ICT technologies is an important role of ICT education

Moreover, many young people recognize ICTs as catalysts for change; change in working conditions, handling and exchanging information, teaching methods, learning approaches, scientific research, and in accessing information. ICT jobs are consistently ranked among the top twenty careers with the best pay and best long-term prospects, and the technology industry remains one of the world’s most robust sectors, creating strong ongoing demand for young tech professionals.

At Youth Initiative for Sustainable Human Development in Africa (YiSHDA) we use communication and technology as a tool for addressing developmental challenges. We also aim is to use communication technology to create opportunities for growth and sustainability in the society
